A record number of students entered the contest; 1,007 students representing 144 hometowns and 99 schools across North Carolina entered this contest. Jaedyn R. and Leslie J. placed in the Intermediate Category. Jaedyn placed 7th overall and Leslie placed 9th overall.

The Cumberland County Board of Education recently approved the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 schools calendars for those who attend Traditional schools, Year-Round schools, Early College high schools, and Cumberland Polytechnic High School. The calendars have been posted on the District Website.

        
FIELD TRIP

image of students male and female in a group settingA few excited students spent three days on a field trip to Salter Path, NC  to learn and understand why and how we are tied to the earth. The program is called Sound to Sea and its the only residential environmental education program on the Outer Banks. Our students  enjoyed multi-disciplinary hands-on activities, a Challenge Course and special evening programs.
